Mingle and be festive at the 12th annual Dog Day Afternoon at the Cathedral from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. You can enjoy Dodger dogs, snacks, a full bar and beverages offer for purchase by Levy Restaurants. You don’t have to have a dog to enjoy this event. If you do bring a dog, it must be a downtown resident, social and on a leash. This event is free, but registration is required. Parking at the Cathedral costs $8. Sponsored by the Downtown Center Business Improvement District in celebration of the four-legged, furry ambassadors who help create the downtown Los Angeles community. The event will feature music, vendor booths and pet adoptions. spcaLA will be offering low-cost vaccinations for rabies, DA2PPV and CIV as well as $25 microchipping for dogs and $15 to $25 deworming for cats and dogs. Please bring your pet’s medical records if you have them. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
